Microwave radar technology enables XK models fitted with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) to detect slower vehicles ahead (or even those about to move into your lane). It will then automatically adjust your chosen cruise speed to maintain a safe distance from the vehicle in front. If you prefer, it can be set simply to alert you if traffic in front is slowing down. It is available on all XK models as part of the Technology Pack, while Cruise Control with automatic speed limiter is standard across the range.

Jaguar´s Satellite Navigation System is incredibly easy to use. DVD technology means around eight times more information can be stored (and accessed more quickly) than with ordinary CD-ROM systems. This also means, for instance, you don´t have to change discs when you cross borders.

For your convenience and safety, sensors on all XK models automatically detect light levels and switch on dipped headlights. An optional feature is rain-sensing wipers, part of the Convenience Pack, which automatically switch on when needed.

All XK models have heated, power adjustable mirrors. Power folding door mirrors with electrochromic glass - standard on XKR models and optional on XK8 with the Convenience Pack - fold inwards towards the car to help when parking in tight spaces, on the roadside, or going through a narrow gap.

Ultrasonic sensors are integrated into the rear bumper of all XK models. Audible beeps increase in frequency as you get closer to another car or obstacle, helping you determine the remaining available distance.

Memory Function allows you to set two different memory settings for the power adjustable driver´s seat, steering column and exterior door mirrors, at the touch of a button. So you (and whoever else drives your car) will always have the most comfortable driving position. Standard on XKR and available with Convenience Pack on XK8.

Jaguar´s Automatic Climate Control technology is designed to provide easy-to-use, consistent comfort levels. Set your desired temperature, select AUTO, and the controlled environment within your XK will remain constant, regardless of outside conditions. Pollen and odour filters are fitted as standard and the system will intervene to keep windows clear of misting.

The 6-speaker Jaguar Alpine sound system with CD autochanger and integrated telephone keypad is fitted to all models. The 8/9 speaker Jaguar Alpine Premium system is available as an optional upgrade on all models as part of the Technology Pack. A dual band fixed telephone is available as an option throughout the XK range.
