Displaying the spacious rear passenger compartment of the new long wheelbase XJ production models, the Concept Eight features unique individual rear seats with a central console that runs from the front to the rear of the car as well as a host of luxury features for discerning rear seat passengers.

The aerospace derived all aluminium single shell body of the new XJ has been adapted with chrome gills behind the massive 21" wheels to aid engine cooling and improve aerodynamic flow. The roof has been replaced by a single, full-length expanse of darkened glass to provide an even greater sense of space. Around the edges of the glass panel, a strip of LED mood lighting provides a calming ambient red glow.

In the two individual rear seats of the Concept Eight you have your own multimedia screens and sound system. The LCD video screens with DVD system are mounted in the back of the front headrests with individual sound so that front occupants can have a quiet zone or listen to the 860-watt Alpine® 8.2 audio system. Behind the folding video screens are concealed Dunhill® writing pens, address books, and Leica® D-LuxTM digital cameras.

As you sip champagne from the rear cooler box from the specially designed Waterford® stemless champagne flutes, you´d be right if you thought the Concept Eight has the feel and softly lit ambience of a private club. Other features that set it apart include a rich brown aniline leather and nubuck interior with ivory leather roof linings. From outside, the stunning Purple Haze paint finish is a blend of lush cherry and deep black which will show hints of both colours under changing light conditions.
